February 13th 2009 - Greetings!
You may be wondering about what’s going on with the CBS Face-Off….first of all, we want to thank you for all your support through this process. We can’t tell you how much it has meant to have you watch our video (some of you numerous times) and leave kind comments. Unfortunately, we haven’t heard anything from CBS at this point. We’re figuring that means we haven’t been chosen to move on in the competition.
We have to admit that we’re a little disappointed, but we know God is in control. The boys are in the beginning stages of recording their first CD, and this contest would have been a big distraction. We also have several Family Life conferences coming up, and Brandon is hoping to attend ECOLA, a Bible school in Oregon, for a few months. We would have gladly rearranged our schedule, but fortunately, now we won’t have to!
We really did enjoy getting to know some of the families. There are quite a few Christians involved. We have made connections with several of them and plan to keep in touch. In fact, two of the groups we’ve gotten to know were videotaped by CBS crews this past week. In case you’re interested, we have added links to their videos so you can check them out. Ours is there too, so you can watch it one more time.

With all that said, life goes on. Bruce is speaking at the Hershey, PA, “Weekend to Remember,” conference and leaves this Thursday. Please be praying for him, as well as the couples attending - there are over 2,000 people registered! Also, the boys are heading back into the studio today. Pray for them as they continue the process of recording. We are thrilled with the progress so far, and can’t wait to see how God is going to use it!
